Street Resurfacing Project

Street resurfacing begins this week and will be done in phases consisting of concrete sidewalk and curb and gutter replacements followed by a grind and overlay or slurry seal treatment on several major streets throughout the City. Please find a tentative schedule and map below. 

Phase I Concrete Work: July 14, 2022 to August 15, 2022
Areas of Work:             
             Garden Grove Boulevard (Beach Boulevard to Fern Street)
              Village Center Drive Crosswalk at Parkglen Loop
              Chapman Street (City Limit to Briarwood Street)
              Lampson Street (Beach Boulevard to City Limit)
              Dale Street (Katella Avenue to City Limit)
              Western Avenue (Western Avenue and Palais Road) and (Western Avenue and College Drive)
              Katella Avenue (Katella Avenue and Magnolia Street Intersection)

Phase II Asphalt Work: July 25, 2022 to September 20, 2022 (Work will be performed in stages)

              Katella Avenue (Mac Street to Magnolia Street)
              Magnolia Avenue (City Limit to Katella Avenue)
              Chapman Avenue (Beach Boulevard to Briarwood Street)
              Dale Avenue (City Limit to Cerritos) and (Katella Avenue to City Limit)
              Lampson Avenue (Beach Boulevard to City Limit)
              Orangewood Avenue (Western Avenue to End of Street)
              Garden Grove Boulevard (Beach Boulevard to Fern Street)

Phase III Slurry: August 10, 2022 to October 5, 2022
