Oversized Vehicle Ordinance
Effective October 14, 2021, the following vehicles are not permitted to park on all streets in the City of Stanton:
- Campers/Trailers
- Recreational Vehicles
- Vehicles Exceeding: 10,000 lbs., 22 ft. in length, or 7 ft. tall and 7 ft. wide
The above parking restrictions are subject to exceptions, including vehicles with a 72-hour City-issued permit for loading or unloading. Oversized vehicles with a City-issued permit will be required to park within 1/10th of a mile from the permit’s registered residential address. Under no circumstances may a utility connection between a residence and an oversized vehicle encroach into the public right-of-way, including across or above the street or sidewalk. Temporary 72-hour Parking Permits can be obtained at the front counter of City Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday or by using the link below. For last-minute after-hours Friday through Sunday, please call our Code Enforcement Hot-Line at (714) 890-4220 and request a late permit by leaving your name, phone number, address, make, model, and license plate. A public safety staff member will follow up within 72 hours.
