To keep our community safe during high heat days, the City's Community Center located at 7800 Katella Avenue, will be opened to the public and serve as a cooling center.

When will the cooling center be activated?
Cooling centers will be activated when outdoor temperatures reach 95°F degrees (35°C).
Are dogs allowed in the cooling center?
Only service animals may enter indoor City facilities.
Will food be available for purchase at the cooling center?
Food is not available for purchase at our cooling center, however, visitors may bring their own meal and dine inside the center.
Is the cooling center only for Stanton residents?
No, the cooling center is open to the public.

What are the COVID-19 guidelines?
To continue to keep everyone safe, we ask that all visitors to our cooling center abide by the following guidelines:
- Please do not enter the building if you have symptoms of respiratory illness, including fever or cough.
- Please always maintain proper social distancing (6 feet).
- Face coverings are optional for fully vaccinated individuals and are required for all visitors who are not fully vaccinated. A person is considered fully vaccinated 2-weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, and 2-weeks after a single-dose vaccine.
- Please keep your hands clean and sanitized.
