Citywide Street Resurfacing Project: Katella/Dale

Katella-DaleUpdate - April 29, 2024:  Overnight paving activities have been rescheduled to take place Monday (4/29) at 8pm to Tuesday (4/30) at 5am. Please be aware that this project will impact traffic flow from Rose St to Mac St on Katella Ave.

Update - April 24, 2024:
Overnight paving on Katella Avenue (Beach Boulevard to Dale Avenue) will start on Thursday night, April 25, at 7PM and will potentially continue into Friday night. Commuters should anticipate delays and lane closures and should exercise caution when driving through Katella Avenue. Please continue to check our social media and City website, StantonCA.gov, for updates.

Please be advised that as part of the FY 2022/23 Citywide Street Resurfacing Project, Katella Avenue (Beach Boulevard to Dale Avenue), Dale Avenue (Railroad Tracks to Katella Avenue), and the intersection of Katella Avenue and Dale Avenue will be resurfaced, with construction to begin April 22nd. Most work will be completed during normal daytime hours; however, paving on Katella Avenue will be completed as nightwork starting at approximately 9:00 PM.

Commuters should anticipate delays and lane closures on Katella Avenue and Dale Avenue during the construction portion of the project. One (1) lane will be open at all times during construction. The contractor will make every effort to keep driveways open to all residences and businesses open at all times, but there may be a time when a driveway may be temporarily inaccessible. There will be “No Parking” signs posted throughout the project indicating specific dates work will be performed in that area.
